What: Press briefing to present the World Economic Situation and Prospect as of mid- 2016 Report

Economic activity in the world economy remains weak with little prospect for a turnaround in 2016, says the UN World Economic Situation and Prospects as of mid-2016 report, which will be launched at UN Headquarters on 12 May at 11.00 am EDT.

The World Economic Situation and Prospects report, produced jointly by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN/DESA), the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the five UN regional commissions and the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), is an important annual analysis that provides an overview on current global economic growth, trends and prospects.
