At a press conference launching his report " The Security We Need", the Secretary-General warned that soaring global military spending risks undermining peace and sustainable development. He was joined by UN High Representative for Disarmament Izumi Nakamitsu and the Acting Administrator of the UN Development Programme Haoliang Xu, to call for rebalancing priorities towards a more sustainable and peaceful future.
