Call for contributions to the United Nations Youth Fund in order to facilitate the participation of youth representatives from developing countries in the activities of the United Nations, taking into account the need for greater geographical balance in terms of youth representation, and in this regard request the Secretary-General to take appropriate action to encourage contributions to the Fund, including by raising awareness of the Fund.

Consultations conducted with United Nations agencies, youth and interested donors – drawing on best practices from the Youth Fund and comparable funding mechanisms – to assess each stakeholder group’s perspective on the Fund’s value, relevance and future potential, including their expectations, needs and perceived barriers to visibility, accessibility and impact.

Awareness-raising plan developed and implemented to enhance understanding among donors and stakeholders of the United Nations Youth Fund’s mandate, purpose and opportunities for contributing – especially to support youth participation from underrepresented regions and backgrounds.
