Why is this action important?

Science and technology can accelerate solutions to poverty, climate change, and health crises – but many governments lack the support to fully harness them. This action ensures the UN is equipped to help countries use innovation for sustainable development, by strengthening the capacity of UN Country Teams to provide science-based advice. It’s about matching global knowledge with local needs.
