Why is this action important?
Young people play a vital role in building peace. This study will provide fresh evidence on how youth are driving positive change in peace processes and help strengthen efforts to support their contributions.
What happens next?
The lead author is finalizing consultations with various actors both on youth in general and on Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) more specifically to inform the methodology of the study in a consultative manner, which has included a briefing at the Peacebuilding Commission. The next steps are the planning of the remaining regional consultations in synergy with the CSO-UN dialogue and other events to identify.
