HRH Princess Haya

Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein is known for her commitment to humanitarian causes. In her role as a United Nations Messenger of Peace, she is dedicated to helping raise global awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDG1 to eradicate extreme poverty and SDG2 to end hunger around the world by 2030.

In her native Jordan, Princess Haya founded Tkiyet Um Ali (TUA) the first Arab NGO dedicated to overcoming local hunger. Over the past years, Tkiyet Um Ali has distributed more than 2.3 million family food parcels and delivered more than 2.6 million meals to the most vulnerable people in the Kingdom.

HRH has managed numerous relief missions to countries like Haiti, South Sudan, Syria, Indonesia, and Nepal. For more than a decade, she was Chair of Dubai’s International Humanitarian City (IHC) building it to become the world’s largest and busiest logistics hub for humanitarian aid hosting 9 United Nations agencies and 89 NGOs and commercial entities.
