Why is this action important?

Tracking progress is essential to turning promises into action. This initiative creates a clear implementation map for the Global Digital Compact, making it easier to see who is doing what and where. By linking it to the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS)+20 review, it ensures digital cooperation efforts are aligned, transparent and accountable at both regional and global levels.

What happens next?

The Compact implementation map will guide the next steps in implementing the Global Digital Compact. Member States, UN entities and all other stakeholders will use the implementation map as a roadmap to guide the next steps ahead of the High-Level Review during the 82nd session of the General Assembly.
