Aetna Contract Negotiation with NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System

The contract for NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System includes its employed Medical Group providers. However, it does not cover providers affiliated with ColumbiaDoctors or Weill Cornell Medicine Physician Organizations, nor their associated Independent Physician Associations (IPAs).

Providers within the market—including those from ColumbiaDoctors and Weill Cornell Medicine Physician Organizations—who only have admitting privileges at a NewYork-Presbyterian hospital may face termination if they do not secure privileges at a participating hospital once NewYork-Presbyterian hospitals are no longer in-network.

Member Communication:
Notification letters will be sent to impacted members on or around February 27, 2025, if they have received services from NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System. Should an agreement be reached after these notices are mailed, retraction letters will be issued to all affected members.
