Anthem BCBS Contract Negotiation with Mount Sinai Health System

Anthem BCBS is currently in negotiations with the Mount Sinai Health System to keep their providers and facilities in the Anthem plan networks. Mount Sinai’s existing contract with Anthem is scheduled to terminate effective 1 January 2026, if an agreement is not reached. Anthem is still working to reach an agreement with Mount Sinai by 31 December 2025, and is optimistic they will do so. However, if an agreement is not reached, it will mean that Mount Sinai's hospitals and facilities will no longer be in the Anthem's network beginning Sunday, 1 March 2026 and Mount Sinai physicians will no longer be in the Anthem’s network beginning Thursday, 1 January 2026.

While Anthem continues to work to reach an agreement, nothing will change with any care received from Mount Sinai hospitals, physicians, and outpatient services.
