68th General Assembly session (2013)
During the 68th session of the General Assembly, the following agenda items concerning decolonization were allocated to the Fourth Committee in accordance with the letter dated 20 September 2013 from the President of the General Assembly (A/C.4/68/1) and the Fourth Committee held 7 meetings in total (from 3rd to 8th and 14th meetings):
- Item 56: Information from Non-Self-Governing Territories transmitted under Article 73 e of the Charter of the United Nations;
- Item 57: Economic and other activities which affect the interests of the peoples of the Non-Self-Governing Territories;
- Item 58: Implementation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples by the specialized agencies and the international institutions associated with the United Nations;
- Item 59: Offers by Member States of study and training facilities for inhabitants of Non-Self-Governing Territories; and
- Item 60: Implementation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples.
The Fourth Committee submitted the following reports on each agenda item to the plenary of the General Assembly:
- A/68/429 for item 56;
- A/68/430 for item 57;
- A/68/431 for item 58;
- A/68/432 for item 59; and
- A/68/433 for item 60.
