THE NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDENS ORCHID SHOW

Inviting all Tri-State AFICS/NY Members interested in seeing the New York Botanical Gardens Orchid Show now in its 20th year, to take this opportunity to view the work of acclaimed artist Lily Kwong, the designer for this year's Orchid Show. Ms. Kwong presents a meditative and captivating design inspired by her ancestral connections to the natural world. Her vibrant and fantastical vision envelops visitors in thousands of orchids, allowing them to reconnect to nature amidst picture-perfect beauty.  Don’t miss this chance to be immersed in a mesmerizing array of orchids, enfolded in rolling mountains throughout the historic Enid A Haupt Conservatory, and to feel enwrapped in this one-of-a-kind experience.

HOW TO GET THERE?

Take METRO-NORTH the Harlem Line, from Grand Central Station, NYC and use the:  MTA Away Program   (click to follow the link) to take advantage of discounts offered -  Members using this discount program (R/T rail fare and entrance to the Garden and Orchid Show), please meet near the clock tower information desk in the Main Concourse at Grand Central Station by 9:30 am after purchasing your tickets to board the MTA Metro-North Rail, for a 9:53 am departure. AFICS/NY Social Committee members will be on hand to meet participating members and accompany the group to the Gardens.

If you plan on driving to the Gardens or taking the subway to meet the group at the entrance to the Gardens by 10:15 am, the Botanical Gardens offers an All-Garden Pass admission and self-guided tour of the garden and the Orchid Show priced as follows:  Seniors (65+) $31; and adults $35.
