UN Speaker's Bureau

The Speakers Bureau facilitates briefings mostly to high school and university students, both national and international. Other requests are from NGOs, governments and businesses. Briefings are one hour long and allow visitors to achieve greater insight on key topics relating to the work of the UN.

Some of the most popular topics that are requested include Human Rights, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's), Migration, Refugees, Gender Equality, Counter-Terrorism, Climate Change, Legal Affairs, UNICEF and Children, Peace and Security, Political Affairs and UN Careers, to name a few. Our current list of speakers is derived from a group of volunteer staff members, retirees and some delegates.

Many speakers show a PowerPoint presentation or video during their presentation and allow about 15-20 minutes at the end of the hour for questions and answers.

UN retirees are an asset to our speakers list with their invaluable years of experience working with the UN. Most groups are interested in hearing about personal career paths of the speaker, and the work they've done over the years.

If you are interested in being a speaker, please send an email to briefings@un.org

Thank you for your support!

For your convenience, you can also download and complete the following form, and drop it off at the UN Visitor Services Desk across from the UN Bookshop (GA-1B).
