   Summary statement by the Secretary-General on matters of

which the Security Council is seized and on the stage reached

in their consideration

 

 

   Addendum

 

  Pursuant to rule 11 of the provisional rules of procedure of the Security Council, the Secretary-General is submitting the following summary statement.

  

The list of items of which the Security Council is seized is contained in documents S/2007/10 of 9 February 2007, S/2007/10/Add.7 of 2 March 2007, S/2007/10/Add.12 of 5 April 2007, S/2007/10/Add.15 of 27 April 2007, S/2007/10/Add.20 of 1 June 2007, S/2007/10/Add.25 of 6 July 2007, S/2007/10/Add.34 of 7 September 2007 and S/2007/10/Add.38 of 5 October 2007.

  During the week ending 27 October 2007, the Security Council, at its 5769th meeting, held on 25 October 2007, considered its draft report to the General Assembly covering the period from 1 August 2006 to 31 July 2007.

  The Security Council adopted the draft report, without a vote, and the decision was reflected in a note by the President of the Council (S/2007/627).

  Also during the week ending 27 October 2007, the Security Council took action on the following items:

  The Security Council resumed its consideration of the item at its 5767th meeting, held on 24 October 2007 in accordance with the understanding reached in its prior consultations.

  In accordance with the understanding reached in the Council’s prior consultations, the President, with the consent of the Council, extended an invitation under rule 39 of the Council’s provisional rules of procedure to Lynn Pascoe, Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs.
