Overview
At its meeting on 8 April 2014, the Committee heard a briefing by Amb. Riyad Mansour, Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine, on developments in the political process. Amb. Christopher Grima of Malta, Rapporteur of the Committee, reported on the United Nations International Meeting on the Question of Palestine and the United Nations Meeting of Civil Society in Support of Israeli-Palestinian Peace held in Quito, Ecuador, from 25 to 27 March 2014. Also, the Committee heard briefings on the situation in Jerusalem by guest speakers, Messrs. Ziad Abuzayyad and Hillel Schenker, Co-Editors of the Palestine-Israel Journal.
