
2020 CDP Plenary Open Session: Development Policy and New Inequalities
The emergence of new inequalities is the theme of an open session organized by the Committee for Development Policy (CDP). The event, taking place during the 22nd session of the CDP Plenary from 24-17 February 2020, features three CDP members, Adriana Abdenur, Arunabha Ghosh and José Antonio Ocampo. They will present their insights on contemporary challenges and opportunities at the intersection between inequalities and climate change, South-South migration and the shortcomings in the current multilateral system. A discussion will follow the presentations by the speakers.

![]() José Antonio Ocampo He is also Professor at the School of International and Public Affairs, co‐President of the Initiative for Policy Dialogue and Member of the Committee on Global Thought at Columbia University. He has published extensively on macroeconomic theory and policy, international financial issues, economic and social development, international trade and Colombian and Latin American economic history.
