Development Policy Branch

The Development Policy Branch (DPB) is responsible for managing all capacity development activities of the Division, providing assistance through research, training and workshops. DPB focuses on (1) providing development-oriented policy advice based on the use of quantitative modelling tools with respect to the economic, social and environmental dimensions of sustainable development; (2) strengthening analytical capacity of developing countries in achieving greater policy design, implementation, and coherence; and (3) improving capacities of least developed countries (LDCs) to prepare for graduation from the LDC category. The Branch serves as the Secretariat for the Committee for Development Policy (CDP) and is responsible for the organizational and substantive support to CDP.
