Overview
The Conference was jointly organized by the UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The theme of the meeting is “Jerusalem and the international community: providing political and economic support”. The International Conference aims at informing about the realities of life for the Palestinian people under Israeli occupation in East Jerusalem. The Conference also aims to present ideas and proposals about how the international community, especially OIC Member States, can provide concrete support to the Palestinian population in Jerusalem, with a focus on education and training for fostering resilience, especially among youth, and on economic recovery and development, in particular in the tourism sector.
