North America
- On 23 September the Watson Institute, Brown University will present the award-winning Palestinian documentary “The Wanted 18” The documentary tells the story of 18 dairy cows in the town of Beit Sahour, in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, which were declared a threat to the security of the State of Israel after a group of Palestinians begin producing milk for the town’s residents. “The Wanted 18” shows the power of mass mobilization and nonviolent resistance during the First Intifada.
- On 25-27 September the US Campaign to end Israel Occupation will be holding its 14th annual conference “Advancing a Mass Movement for Palestine” in Atlanta. The conference will offer several workshops, photo exhibitions, and film screenings.
- On 7 October, the Middle East Children’s Alliance will present award-winning journalist and scholar Vijay Prashad, who will discuss his book “Letters to Palestine: Writers Respond to War and Occupation”.
Palestine
- On 27 September – 4 October the Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) Charity Challenge team will cycle across the West Bank over 5 days to raise funds for medical aid for Palestinians as part of the challenge Cycle Palestine 2015.
United Nations
- On 7-8 September, the UN Palestinian Rights Committee, in cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the League of Arab States, held an International Meeting on the Question of Palestine in Brussels under the theme “Israeli settlements as an obstacle to peace – possible ways forward”. On 9 September, the Committee met with civil society organizations for consultations.
