Readout of the Meeting between the President of the General Assembly and the Foreign Minister of Sweden

The President of the 76^th Session of the General Assembly His Excellency Abdulla Shahid met with the Foreign Minister of Sweden, Her Excellency Anne Linde, on the sidelines of the Stockholm+50 International Meeting.

The President congratulated the Government of Sweden on hosting the Stockholm+50 International Meeting. The President and Minister also discussed the climate and environmental concerns that needs urgent global attention.

The President and the Minister also spoke on the importance of gender-equality, and of ensuring gender parity at all levels of government. The President noted that Sweden’s feminist foreign policy aligns well with the priority that his Presidency places on gender equality.

The meeting occurred in Stockholm, Sweden.
