Meeting between the President of the General Assembly and the Chair of International Civil Service Commission

The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Mr. Larbi Djacta, Chair of the International Civil Service Commission.

The President commended the work of the International Civil Service Commission in supporting the workforce of the United Nations, and highlighted the need to continue to strengthen transparency and accountability of the ICSC.

Mr. Djacta shared the efforts the Commission had undertaken to respond to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The meeting took place in the President’s office at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
