Fifth Global Meeting of the Indigenous Peoples' Forum at IFAD

Joint Ministerial Meeting of the UN Food Systems Summit & the UN High-Level Dialogue on Energy
This Ministerial Meeting in support of the UN Food Systems Summit and the summit-level UN High-Level Dialogue on Energy preparatory processes will take place in partnership with the International Renewable Energy Agency and the United Arab Emirates as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week and the IRENA Assembly. The meeting is intended to raise awareness of the Summits and identify potential outcomes – such as initiatives, targets, policies, and other concrete deliverables – with simultaneous food, energy, and climate benefits that can be considered for both Summits, as well as COP26. Information session on Asian Youth Food Systems Dialogues
This is virtual session where youth leaders from different Asian countries will gather, learn, and kick-start the call for Asian youth to engage in Food Systems Dialogues as part of the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit.
It is important that both the Permanent Missions in Rome and Geneva can contribute from the onset to the UN Food Systems Summit process to ensure that the health perspective is taken into account and mainstreamed throughout the discussions and proposed solutions for food systems transformation. Therefore, an informal one-hour briefing is being organised for Member States’ representatives, and will provide an opportunity for asking questions to the different speakers who each have a role in the Summit.

The World Benchmarking Alliance's (WBA) Food and Agriculture Benchmark aims to translate what is needed of the private sector into clear business asks across the entire food system agenda. With the first full ranking to be published at the 2021 UN Food System Summit, the WBA is excited to launch now a prelude, with its baseline report.
To support the UN system's efforts towards eliminating hunger, securing decent work and achieving the SDGs, UN DESA is holding a Global Policy Dialogue on food system livelihoods in the context of demographic change and rural development. The event will also serve as a UN Food Systems Summit Dialogue, informing the 2021 Summit process.
