Transforming Agriculture in African Least Developed Countries

CCGP32 - Sanitary measures and trade in Africa: priority to food safety
The French government will convene the first virtual session of a technical Codex Alimentarius committee with a focus on the modernization of the elaboration process of world reference standards dedicated to food safety and quality in international trade. A side-event in the margins of the plenary session will be dedicated to the project of harmonizing food laws at the continental level, a key for the success of the free-trade African continental area initiated by the African Union in 2019.
