Introduction of the 2017 CDP Report at the High-level Segment of ECOSOC

On 17 July 2017 Professor Jose Antonio Ocampo, Chair of the Committee for Development Policy (CDP), introduced the Committee’s findings on “Lessons learned in developing productive capacities from countries graduating and graduated from the LDC category” as part of the CDPs report on its 19th session at the High-Level Segment of the 2017 ECOSOC session.

The 2017 High-level segment of ECOSOC will be held from 17 to 20 July 2017, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York and addresses the Council’s overall annual theme “Eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions through promoting sustainable development, expanding opportunities and addressing related challenges”. It convenes a diverse group of high-level representatives from government, the private sector, civil society and academia for policy dialogue, review and recommendations on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and other internationally agreed development goals.
