H. E. President Mahmoud Abbas, of the State of Palestine, received in audience the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H. E. Hissein Brahim Taha, on September 22, 2022, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
President Abbas briefed the Secretary-General on the latest developments of the Palestinian cause, especially the aggression and violations of sanctities and attacks on defenceless Quds original inhabitant, and the attempt to impose Israeli educational curricula and falsify historical facts. He called for activating the role of states and institutions to confront the escalation of violations.
For his part, the Secretary-General affirmed the OIC commitment to continue supporting the Palestinian cause, the Raison d’être of the organization. He also stressed the need to promote a just solution and respect the international resolutions related to the Palestinian cause.
