On 30 August 2024, the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People convened to receive an in-depth briefing from the Permanent Observer Mission of the State of Palestine to the United Nations. The report provided an overview of the latest developments concerning the situation in Palestine, including political, humanitarian, and legal aspects.
During the meeting, the Committee reviewed and formally adopted its annual report to the 2024 General Assembly (document A/79/35), which outlines the Committee’s activities, priorities, and recommendations for advancing the rights of the Palestinian people. The Committee reiterated its commitment to supporting the Palestinian people’s inalienable rights to self-determination, independence, and statehood.
