UNITED NATIONS CONCILIATION COMMISSION FOR PALESTINE
Letter* dated 2 September 1950 addressed by the Conciliation Commission
to H.E. Mr. Moshe Sharett, Foreign Minister of Israel
Sir,
I have the honour to inform Your Excellency that the United Nations Conciliation Commission for Palestine has decided to close its meetings in the Middle East on 8 September and to resume them in New York on 2 October 1950.
The Commission hopes that while it is in New York there may be opportunity for contact with members of the Israeli Delegation to the General Assembly. It would be appreciated if the Delegation might be so informed by your Government with a view to facilitating such contacts as opportunity may offer.
I would like at the same time to express to Your Excellency the Commission’s appreciation of the hospitality and assistance which it has received from your Government during the Commission’s stay in the Middle East.
I have the honour to be,
Sir,
Your obedient Servant,
(S) Ely E. Palmer Chairmen
