MEETING WITH UNRWA AND ADJOURNMENT OF THE COMMISSION’S MEETINGS

At the CHAIRMAN’s request, Mr. de AZCARATE (Principal Secretary) reported on the conversation which he had had with the Director of the Relief and Works Agency regarding a joint meeting of the two bodies. The Chairman of the Advisory Commission and the United States representative had also been present, and it had been agreed that a joint meeting of the two bodies might usefully be held later after they had exchanged their respective reports.

The Commission adopted that view, and on the CHAIRMAN’s proposal, decided to adjourn its meetings. It was further decided that, while awaiting, and during discussion of the Commission's report by the Ad Hoc Political Committee, the members of the Commission should remain at the Chairman’s disposal for any meeting he might wish to call either on his own initiative or at the request of his colleagues.

The meeting rose at 11.45 a.m.
