SUMMARY RECORD OF THE SEVENTH MEETING

Held at the King David Hotel, Jerusalem,
 on 30 January 1949, at 6 p.m.

(1) Reply to the telegram from Dr. Bunche 

The text of this reply was approved and despatched the same evening.

(2) Information concerning work on internal arrangements at Government House 

(3) Arrangement regarding the King David Hotel

The Principal Secretary reported to the Commission on the outcome of his conversation with Mr. Hamburger and stated that he had sent a telegram to the Secretary-General informing him of the position.

(4) Transport

The Principal Secretary spoke of his concern on this matter and informed the Commission that he had sent a telegram to the Secretary-General requesting the immediate purchase of four cars for the use of the Commission.

(5) Invitations

The Commission was informed of the invitations received by the Principal Secretary, namely an invitation to tea on Tuesday afternoon with Dr. Muss Hussein and an invitation from the “Fundation Hadassah” for the evening of the same day.

(6) Memoranda

A memorandum on the resolution of 11 December and a memorandum, together with annexes, on the letter concerning the safety of the Commission., sent on 27 January by Dr. Joseph to Colonel de la Rue, were circulated to members of the Commission.
