UAE RCS implements Gaza Iftar programme

Gaza – The UAE Red Crescent Society is implementing a massive programme to provide Iftar meals to the fasting people in Gaza. According to Yousif Al Haddad, Director of UAE Friends Society which runs RCS activities in Gaza, the programme, supported by President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has so far arranged 60 mass Iftar events for more than 50,000 people in Gaza strip's different areas. He added that more than 3,000 purchasing coupons were distributed to the needy families, enabling them to get food items such as rice, sugar, edible oils, dates, tea and cheese.
