Palestinian people – Humanitarian Information Fact Sheet – OCHA report

Humanitarian Information Fact Sheet

The Palestinian population has entered its fifth year of humanitarian crisis. The Palestinians are one of the world's largest per capita international aid recipients – approximately US $1 billion per year or $310 per person. While optimism for change is prevailing, the crisis cannot be resolved without an easing of Palestinian movement restrictions and a lifting of the closure policy – security measures Israel implemented with the intent of protecting its citizens.
