LETTER DATED 18 FEBRUARY 1998 FROM THE PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE

OF EGYPT TO THE UNITED NATIONS ADDRESSED TO THE PRESIDENT OF   

THE SECURITY COUNCIL

I have the honour to transmit herewith the position of Egypt concerning the list of items of which the Security Council is seized (S/1998/44).

I should be grateful if you could have the text of the present letter and its annex circulated as a document of the Security Council.

Annex

Letter dated 18 February 1998 from the Permanent Representative

of Egypt to the United Nations addressed to the President of   

the Security Council

I have the honour to write to you with reference to document S/1998/44 concerning the deletion of certain items from the list of matters of which the Security Council is currently seized.

In this regard, Egypt requests that the following items be retained on the above-mentioned list:  items 1, 12, 17 and 20.
