LETTER DATED 11 DECEMBER 1975 FROM THE SECRETARY-GENERAL
ADDRESSED TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE SECURITY COUNCIL
I have the honour to transmit herewith the text of resolution 3375 (XXX), entitled "Invitation to the Palestine Liberation Organization to participate in the efforts for peace in the Middle East", which was adopted by the General Assembly at its 2399th plenary meeting on 10 November 1975.*
In this connexion, I would like to draw your attention in particular to paragraph 1 of that resolution, which reads as follows:
"Requests the Security Council to consider and adopt the necessary resolutions and measures in order to enable the Palestinian people to exercise its inalienable national rights in accordance with General Assembly resolution 3236 (XXIX)".
I should be most grateful if you would bring this matter to the attention of the members of the Security Council.
(Signed) Kurt WALDHEIM
