PRESIDENT OF THE SECURITY COUNCIL

I have the honour to request the Security Council to extend an invitation, under Rule 39 of its provisional rules of procedure, to H.E. Dr. Clovis Maksoud, Permanent Observer of the League of Arab States to the United Nations, in connection with the item presently under consideration entitled "The situation in the occupied Arab territories".
