MEDOUNE FALL (SENEGAL), CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEE ON PALESTINIAN RIGHTS
Medoune Fall of Senegal, who was elected Chairman of the committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People at its first meeting today, has been Permanent Representative of Senegal to the United Nations since 27 August 1971.
Mr. Fall was born in 1919 in St. Louis du Senegal and received his education in Senegal.
He served in the public administration of his country and as Regional Governor before entering the diplomatic service.
He then served in the following posts: Ambassador to France and Spain, 1964-1966, and also as the Permanent Delegate of Senegal to the United Nations Belgium and to the European Common Market, 1966-1968, and Ambassador to the Soviet Union and Poland, 1968-1971.
