Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Saltanov Meets with Israeli Ambassador to Moscow Arkady Mil-Man

On February 25 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Saltanov received Israeli Ambassador to Moscow Arkady Mil-Man at his request.
During the talk, the sides exchanged views on pressing issues related to the situation in the Middle East. Saltanov underscored the necessity of using the positive trends in Israeli-Palestinian relations for moving the peace process forward on the basis of the Road Map. Furthermore, it is also important that these positive trends should be working for the creation of an atmosphere conducive to the resumption of dialogue between Israel and its neighbor Arab states.
There was affirmed on both sides a desire to carry on the multifaceted political dialogue and expand mutually beneficial Russian-Israeli cooperation. In this context a number of specific steps for the sake of the further intensification of bilateral ties were discussed.
