  I have the honour to transmit to you the text of a statement issued on 5 December 2001 by the Cabinet Ministers of the State of Qatar condemning and denouncing Israel’s violent attacks against and massacre of the Palestinian people (see annex).

  I should be grateful if you would have the present letter and its annex circulated as a document of the General Assembly, under agenda items 41 and 42, and of the Security Council.

Council of Ministers condemns ruthless Israeli attacks and massacres 

  The Council of Ministers condemned the ruthless attacks and brutal massacres being perpetrated by Israeli forces against the defenceless Palestinian people and called on the international community to take immediate measures to end these hostile practices and set up efforts to resume the peace process. It also affirmed the State of Qatar’s firm position of support for the Palestinian Authority and for the Palestinian people.
