Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. János Áder, President of Hungary

On 26 September 2015, the Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. János Áder, President of Hungary. They discussed progress regarding the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Secretary-General told the President that he understood the challenges faced by Hungary with regard to increased movement of migrants and refugees towards Europe. However, the Secretary-General stressed to the President the importance of respecting dignity and human rights in addressing these issues.
