Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Raimonds Vejonis, President of the Republic of Latvia

On 26 September 2015, the Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Raimonds Vejonis, the President of the Republic of Latvia.

The Secretary-General welcomed the partnership between the UN and the European Union and thanked the Government of Latvia for its support to Ukraine. The Secretary-General stressed the need for each Member State to take ownership of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals and thanked Latvia for its interest in strengthening its engagement with UN Peacekeeping Operations.
