Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Heinz Fischer, President of the Republic of Austria

The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Heinz Fischer, President of the Republic of Austria. The Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for Austria’s support for and close collaboration with the United Nations. The Secretary-General and the President also exchanged views on the sustainable development agenda 2030. They also discussed the challenges related to the increased movement of refugees and migrants towards Europe.
