Sim Mellouh is the Team Leader for human rights in the Office of the 76th President of the General Assembly. She joined OPGA76 as an Adviser. 

Sim is a career diplomat who joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Algeria in 2005 and worked in various positions. She has served at the Permanent Mission of Algeria to the United Nations Office in Geneva covering mainly the Human Rights Council. She was also appointed as Deputy Director for Central and Eastern European Countries, at the Directorate General of Europe at the Foreign Ministry. From 2015 to 2019 she served as Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Algeria in Vienna, where she was in charge of UNODC file and the Arab Group.

She brings to the OPGA over 16 years of experience in multilateral relations, mainly areas related to human rights and political affairs besides in-depth knowledge of issues related to Arab countries.

Sim holds a Master’s degree in International Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Law form the University of Algiers as well as a Post-Graduation Diploma in Diplomatic Studies and International Relations from the University of Oxford.

She speaks Arabic (native), English, French, and German.
