“I hope to learn and improve on my public speaking skills, gain international exposure, grow leadership skills and develop cultural competency and awareness. This fellowship will provide resources, support and professional networks to pursue my goals which might not be achieved in a typical job or internship”.

Stella Kamukama has served as a Foreign Service Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uganda since August 2020. She has held this position for two years under Consular and Protocol Services Department. In this role she has provided protocol and consular services and protection to both Ugandans and non-Ugandans at home and abroad.
Stella is a graduate from Makerere University Business School with a bachelor’s degree in International Business. She has trained with both Uganda Mission Paris as an intern in 2017 and Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development as Research Assistant in December 2019.
Her scope of interest covers Economic and commercial diplomacy in relation to lynch pin in promoting the country’s Commercial (promotion of Tourism, Trade and Investment.) and Economic Diplomacy (external resource mobilization and technology transfers).
Currently, Stella is a Harnessing Opportunities for Promoting Empowerment (HOPE) of Youth Fellow at the Office of the President of General Assembly.
