Judit Cziko serves as an Adviser for Peace and Security issues in the Office of the President of the 76th session of the General Assembly.

Prior to joining the Office of the President of the General Assembly, Judit worked in the Permanent Mission of Hungary to the United Nations in New York, covering the work of the Security Council, especially on the Middle East and North Africa as well as on Latin America. She was Fourth Committee delegate and followed humanitarian affairs, preventive diplomacy, sustainable peace, peacebuilding and mediation.

Before her assignment to New York, Judit worked in the Department for UN Affairs within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, covering a wide range of issues, including Security Council, Fourth Committee, Security Council reform, conflict prevention, peacebuilding, peacekeeping, R2P, GA revitalization, elections etc. Earlier, Judit also worked in the Department for Emerging Security Challenges where she gained expertise in water and climate diplomacy as well as participated in the coordination and organization of water and environmental sustainability related events of the Ministry.

Judit holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Economics from the Budapest Business School, Faculty of International Management and Business.
