Readout of meeting between President of General Assembly and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore

The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Mr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore

The Minister congratulated and thanked the President for the excellent work he has done in delivering on his priorities. He further expressed Singapore’s continued support to the Presidency of Hope.

The President expressed his gratitude to the Minister for his participation at the High-Level Meeting of the New Urban Agenda.

Both sides also discussed the event on the commemoration of the 40^th Anniversary of UNCLOS, the impact of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, recovery from COVID-19, tourism, and Our Common Agenda report.

The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
