Meeting between the President of General Assembly and the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan

The President of the 76th Session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid met today with the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Mr. Yashar Aliyev. 

The President thanked Ambassador Aliyev for Azerbaijan’s support for his Presidency, including the contribution to the Trust Fund for the Office of the President. 

Both sides exchanged views on the follow-up process to the Secretary-General’s report ’Our Common Agenda’, the upcoming high-level meeting on vaccine equity, and other priorities for the remainder the session. 

The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
