Meeting between the President of the General Assembly and the Permanent Representative of Israel, H.E. Mr. Gilad Erdan

The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Mr. Gilad Erdan, Permanent Representative of Israel.

Ambassador Erdan congratulated the President on his election, and welcomed his efforts to address climate change and promote the SDGs.  They also discussed the need to combat racism in all its forms, including anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial.

The meeting took place in the President’s office at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
