Meeting between the President of the General Assembly and the Chair of the Fifth Committee 

The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Mr. Mher Margaryan, Permanent Representative of Armenia and Chairperson of the Fifth Committee.

Ambassador Margaryan  briefed the President about the progress made to date by the Committee, including on the 2022 programme budget.

The President commended the work of the Committee on its heavy agenda, and highlighted the need for all delegations to work towards concluding the Committee’s session on time.

The meeting took place in the President’s office at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
