Readout of the meeting between the President of the General Assembly and Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia

The President of the seventy-sixth session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Mr. Davit Zalkaliani, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

Vice Prime Minister Zalkaliani extended the full support of the Government of Georgia to the Office of the President of the General Assembly and the priorities of the Presidency of hope of PGA Shahid, including the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, strengthening multilateralism and revitalizing the United Nations.

Vice Prime Minister Zalkaliani updated the President on Georgia’s priorities at the United Nations General Assembly. They also discussed the importance of the Geneva International Discussions and the role of the United Nations as one of the co-chairs.

The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
