The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Tareq Albanai, the Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations.
President Shahid congratulated Ambassador Albanai on his appointment. He also thanked the Government of the State of Kuwait for all the support extended to his Presidency and to his Office.
Ambassador Albanai thanked President Shahid for the warm welcome and congratulated him on the initiatives he has undertaken during the “Presidency of Hope”. He assured his full support and that of the State of Kuwait, during the remainder of the seventy-sixth session.
The meeting took place at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
