Readout of Farewell Courtesy Call between President of General Assembly and the Permanent Representative of Grenada

The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met with H.E. Ms. Keisha Amiya McGuire, Permanent Representative of Grenada.

Ambassador McGuire expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the President for his leadership of the General Assembly and welcomed the many achievements during his tenure. She also thanked him for the trust that the President had placed in her and for the close relationship during the 76^thsession.

President Shahid expressed his gratitude for Ambassador McGuire’s support and congratulated her for the many leadership roles she had undertaken during her tenure which has raised the profile of Grenada, of Small Island Developing States, and of women in diplomacy.

The President wished Ambassador McGuire all the best in her future endeavours.

The meeting took place in the office of the President of the General Assembly in New York.
