The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. H.E. Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi, Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations, who paid him a farewell visit at the end of his mission as the Permanent Representative of Kuwait.
Ambassador Al-Otaibi expressed his gratitude to the President for the confidence placed in him by designating him Chair of the first thematic consultation of the OCA process, entitled “Accelerating and scaling up the Sustainable Development Goals, leaving no-one behind”.
The President thanked Ambassador Al-Otaibi and the Government of Kuwait for the support received for the “Presidency of Hope” and expressed his gratitude for the excellent relationship between the Mission of Kuwait and the OPGA and wished Ambassador Al-Otaibi success in his new assignment.
The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
